Thanks for your help. The whole digging in the translator module at LARP.cz is a long time job and I unfortunately don't have enough time right now. So it must remain in this situation for other few months.

Translating whole content is impossible of course (except by google translator).
But you can surely tell me which information, as a foreigner, you find so important and worth to translate.

It differs from what text I'm trying to read. Shorter messages (like headline, menu entries, forum categories or form labels) are readable (though sometimes a bit "unusual" but that's okay). It's much harder to figure out what people wrote, e.g. description of a specific larp event or a post in the forum. Maybe, especially in the larp description, people sometimes use a kind of higher-level, not every-day or older language? All in all, sometimes I can understand a text with google translator (like the psot "Fantasy ples 2011" on the main page) but sometimes it is useless crap as you said (e.g. the second main page post, "Pro poslání přihlášek máte čas do konce března!").

The google translator seems to have some problems with cookies or so. Using the translator I can not login to the community and some links doesn't work. But I think that's a problem with google and/or my browser settings, not larp.cz. I'm using the czech version and just copy text or single word to the translator on demand.

As you can see the translator is not perfect but one can use it - at least, I finallay managed to register myself and create new postings

Can you please give me feedback about LARP.cz Google translate in German and English?
Can you gain information from that or is it useless crap?
I thought if it can be used for foreign languace mutation or not, because translation of all LARP.cz content is beyond our capacities.

Larp in Germany... what do you want to know?
At first I must say that by far the most larps are in the western part of Germany, simply because most people live there
That's also a reason I'm looking out for Czech larps... there's no difference in driving 200km in any direction

Where I live, most larps are small or medium sized - usually between 30 and 50 players (+NPC) for a weekend event I think. But we also have small events (only one day or even just one evening) with less than 20 people all in all (usally non-public larp). I'm not sure if it's good to travel a long distance for only one day, but it might be a good choice to have a look...
Most larps use a fantasy or medieval(historical) setting.

By far the largest larps in Germany are "Conquest of Mythodea" and "Drachenfest" with thousands of participants from alle over Europe (maybe you have already heard about?), but I have never been there until now ^^

The nearest german regions for czech larpers are Sachsen and Bayern (depending on were you live). Our biggest online calendar is http://www.larpkalender.de. Unfortunately there's no foreign menue language available :/
But especially smaller larps in Saxony are often not added to the online calendar.

I only once met a larper who didn't speak german. We spoke only english which was okay. But I have heard about larps with players from Belgium and France, and also events which played "at the border" with organizers from both countries.

In general, german (saxon) larpers are always happy to meet someone new. I don't think that there are big problems if one of you want to visit us, but it might be a good idea to tell the organizers beforehand if you don't speak german.

One of the next larps in Saxony is on 20th-22th May this year near the city Freiberg (Sachsen), but there is currently no more information available.

@Tarenor: Thanks, the partial english/german translations in the event list already helps a little bit. And also thank a lot for the links (it's a bit exhausting to navigate through a complex menu structure with Google Translator ^^). But now I have a new question from the english translation: What is meant by "Live system" or "Nolive system"? Does that label a kind of health point system? The Nolife-Icon looks a bit spooky

I agree with you that international participants can be a real enrichment to most larps. Actually it's just straight-forward that two characters from different countries have some language problems - but I experienced this very seldom :/

More communication between european larpers is a great goal that I would like to support if I can
This thread can be a starting point, you now have a contact to the saxon larp community. But of course I do not have connections to all parts of Germany ^^

There are of course many german webpages and communities according to larp. The most famous one is the Larpkalender I mentioned already above (but there is no forum). Especially for the region where I live we have an online community at http://forum.ludi-saxonici.de/viewforum.php?f=21&start=0. There are also some country-wide communities, for example:

First fo all, please accept my apologies. We had recently a problem with list of events and it seems that all transleted description disappeared. I'll fix it ASAP.

Second, I believe that international participation is at larps mostly welcomed, it adds new experience for players, so I expect that there should be no big problem about it.

Third, the nearest region for you is Ustecky kraj. As you can see at filtered list of events, there are three events so far, one of them is outdoor larp.

And for the last: As a LARP.cz manager I would like to start communication between Czech LARP scene and other countries. Can you give me some tips for complex larp webpages where I can find some information?

I think, this is a little problem, because a lot of people in Czech do not speak good English (for example me, you see Iam sorry about my English ). But, I know, it can work. Last year, on one city Larp in Prague, I met a girl from Estonia. She spoked only English. It was funny for me, a little bit hard, but we managed it

Can you say something about larp in your country? It is really interesting for me
